Royal Bouquet

a

What a beautiful bouquet! Simple & elegant - just as I expected (and hoped for). The dress was perfect too - Grace Kelly inspired; delicate, elegant, and very beautiful. Certainly a winning combination.

The bouquet was made up of sweet william, myrtle, lily-of-the-valley and hyacinth in classic shades of white (apparently, the only colour palette acceptable for Royal weddings!)

We've been watching the proceedings on television this morning, and were graced with the Battle of Britain flypast, flying over our apartment not so long ago on their way back to base . We watched the planes fly overhead as we stood on our own balcony (not quite Buckingham Palace, but our own private flyover nonetheless!)

Living in Cambridgeshire has other perks too - especially as we now have a new Duke & Duchess. Congratulations to them both!

The Royal Wedding

The Royal Wedding is finally upon us! Last September, the flowers at the Abbey (for the Pope's Papal visit), were created by Rebel Rebel where my best friend works.

I am intrigued to see the flowers for the wedding ... I expect something utterly stylish with a nod to tradition, simple yet elegant; befitting of a Princess and an up and coming world icon. No doubt there will be many bouquets made up for brides in a similar fashion this summer!

Think back to Carrie's flowers in Sex and the city - they were in demand everywhere! This was a gorgeous bouquet ... but travel back to Jane Packer circa 1997 and we see a very similar bouquet! Jane was very much ahead of the game and it just goes to show how cyclic fashion is ... even in flowers!
